Integrative Life Coaching

Integrative Life Coaching incorporates spiritual, emotional, and psychological approaches to support individuals’ overall wellbeing. Clients are continuously encouraged to be creative, and are reminded of their freedom of choice; they receive constructive feedback regularly within a safe, and respective environment. This collaborative relationship reinforces clients’ self-awareness, self-responsibility, and commitment toward crafting their life design.

Clients

Life coaching is tailored for people who do not have clinically significant mental health problems or diagnoses. ARC Life Design adult clients (ages 20+) are self-motivated, open-minded, and love to learn. Although individuals may have a general uneasy sense that something needs to change, they struggle insofar as knowing where to start. In these situations, people pursue coaching support to:

  • Embrace and adapt to life transitions (e.g., career/job, relocation, relationships, illness, roles, etc.).
  • Integrate their values, spiritual gifts, strengths, talents, and skills in practical ways.
  • Enhance quality of life, self-development, relationships, and performance potential.
  • Grow in emotional and spiritual maturity.
  • Identify priorities and learn to effectively balance work/life stressors.
  • Increase faith, hope, and self-esteem during times of loss and disappointment.
  • Express emotions such as fear, anger, worry, and care in healthy ways.

Assessments and Applications

Starting with a self-discovery process that includes a variety of assessments, clients have the opportunity to understand how their unique temperament profile, character strengths/values, and learned behaviors influence motivation and quality of life. HeartMath resources are also available for clients who are interested in learning emotional refocusing techniques via heart feedback training.

Assessments

The use of assessments is an ideal way to initiate the client engagement process. During the pre-session phase, Devorah synthesizes the information captured in separate profile reports and learn about each person’s unique temperament, character, and personality traits; and overall satisfaction with life domains. This tailored method of feedback has proven to be an instrumental step for Devorah and her clients to quickly establish a connection and enter into a dialogue that leads to self-discovery, new insights, and commitment to action. The following assessments can be used for individual and group sessions:

Applications

In addition to the list above, there are many other strengths-based assessments, activities, and methods within the field of positive psychology that can be applied to the following client engagements:

  • Individual and Small Group Life Coaching
  • Leadership Assessment, Coaching and Team Building Workshops
  • Academic Mentorship and Coaching for Graduate Students
